French violin from Mirecourt, approx. 1900

This good French violin was built in the renowned violin making town of Mirecourt in the Vosges mountains. It is recommendable choice for adult musicians who love to play an instrument with a strong, voluminous sound. The violin is well-preserved and was crafted in the 1900s after a proven Stradivari model; the distinctive scroll is the clear quick work of an experienced hand. The antiqued varnish is red brown colored and bears antiqueings and some traces of the violin´s high age, that are common for an instrument that obviously was a joy to play. Our expert violin makers completely worked over this violin, that is offered with a minr repair to the rib, that probably happened during the making of the violin, in very good condition ready to expresses its large, dark but clear and warm, resonant voice.
