Roderich Paesold, cello bow - frog
tip

German Cello bow by Roderich Paesold

This excellent German cello bow was handcrafted in the 1980s in the long-established Roderich Paesold workshops, that were founded in 1848. The red-brown octagonal stick is made of pernambuco wood and bears the well-known "R. Paesold" stamp over the frog, a nice and strong piece with both excellent elasticity and balance. The nickel mounted ebony frog is decorated with a Parisian eye and a green-rose-white shimmering mother of pearl slide. The total length of the bow is 71.9 cm, total weight 83.7 g, with a measured balance point at 26.4 cm that is sensed very central, offering best playing qualities. This typical Paesold-bow is offered ready to play and produces a clear and strong sound.
