German violin by Ludwig Fritz Heberlein
This antique German violin is a quality instrument from the workshop of Ludwig Fritz Heberlein in Markneukirchen, Saxony, where it was built in 1944, as the original label and stamp inside the body approve. It is a work of excellent craftsmanship throughout, with elegantly fluted, well-cut soundholes and a deeply carved scroll that is rich in details and a very tasteful work. With these convincing features this L. F. Heberlein violin is a successful tribute to the famous name of his family. Richly applied, soft oil varnish of dark-orange color underlines the fine style of this violin. We offer the instrument in almost mint condition, perfectly ready to play and thoroughly looked over by our luthier. Its warm and bright sound unfolds well balanced, with an open character and some sweet notes.
