Markneukirchen Violin, with appraisal for € 2,800
This quality violin was built approx. 1930 by an unknown violin maker for the renowned Johannes Adler trading company, following the best craftsman tradition of the Markneukirchen region. Selected tonewoods of premium quality were covered by a light varnish, which is very well preserved. Its attractive, transparent color puts the beautiful texture of top, made of finely grained spruce, and the two-piece back of medium to widely flamed maple in a very appealing light. With the exception of a minor, insignificant repair at the left soundhole the violin is in undamaged and perfect condition, with a new bridge, soundpost and Thomastik Dominant strings. A very responsive instrument, pleasing as well with its light, open and well balanced sound as with its attractive appearance, offered with an appraisal for € 2,800 issued by the expert and luthier Anton Sprenger, Mittenwald.
