Good Czech violin after Guarnerius
An old Czech violin made around 1940. The violin is made on the model of Guarnerius that is preferably used by many Czech makers. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the one piece back of narrow flamed maple. The varnish is of a warm orange-brown color with some wear from playing next to the fingerboard and some scratches hidden by the tailpiece. The soundholes are accurately cut. The violin is set up with boxwood pegs, tailpiece and chinrest. Bridge, soundpost and strings are new. The instrument is undamaged and in perfect playing condition. The even sound is warm, dark, resonant and a bit mellow.
