Fine violin bow by Albert Nürnberger (sold)

A fine german violin bow made by renowned bow maker Carl Albert Nürnberger (1881 - 1971). The original Nürnberger stamp is branded on shaft above the frog. The bow was made in the 1930ies in Markneukirchen. The soft and flexible octagonal stick is made of fine brown pernambuco wood. The fine ebony frog is sterling silver mounted with pearl eye, pearl slide and sterling silver adjuster. The bow produces a warm, mellow darkish tone.
