German lightweight Violin bow
A very good German lightweight violin bow. The bow was made in the 1940'ies in Germany. it is a handmade piece of very good quality and workmanship. The round unstamped stick is made of fine quality brown pernambuco wood. The head is especially nicely worked out. The flexible lightweight stick is of very good elasticity yet not too weak to play. The ebony frog is nickel mounted with Parisian eye and dark green/blue pearl slide. The bow is undamaged and in perfect playing condition. It's length is 74,4 cm. The bow has it's balance point in the lower third of the stick close to the frog. It produces a nice bright, warm, round and a bit mellow sound.
