silver mounted Violin bow by G. Schwarz (sold)
An excellent old German violin bow made by G. Schwarz. The bow was made in the 1930'ies in Germany. The round stick is made of fine quality brown pernambuco wood. The elegant head on the Tourte model. The stick combines excellent stiffness, flexibility and elasticity. The blank ebony frog is sterling silver mounted with a white-rose shimmering pearl slide. The bow is undamaged and in perfect playing condition. The bow is well-balanced and has its balance point in the lower third of the stick towards the middle. This especially agile bow produces a strong clear mature tone with a slightly mellow finish. Special recommendation!
