Fine English violin bow, silver mounted
A fine old sterling silver mounted violin bow. The bow is a fine old English handmade piece from around the turn of the century, c.1900. The strong octagonal stick is made of dark red-brown pernambuco wood. The ebony frog is sterling silver mounted with pearl eye and white/green/rose shimmering pearl slide. The head is especially neatly finished. The weight is 60,9 g, the length 73,8 cm. The bow is undamaged and in fine condition. The balance point is in the lower third towards the head. A fine strong bow producing a clear bright, brilliant direct tone. Special recommendation!
