Modern viola bow by Richard Grünke
A modern German silver mounted viola bow by master bowmaker Richard Grünke. The bow was made around 1980 in Bubenreuth, it bears the Richard Grünke stamp on shaft above the frog. The strong, round stick is made of brown pernambuco wood of finest quality, the frog is sterling silver mounted with Parisian eye. The bow feels very comfortable in the hand, it has its felt balance point centred, slightly shifted towards the lower half. The weight is 71.4 g, the length 75.2 cm. The bow is ready to play and produces a huge, rich, clear sound and is quite active at its weight. Especially recommended.
