Old Markneukirchen violin bow, Tubbs model

The bow is a good German violin bow on the model of James Tubbs. The bow was made around 1940 in Markneukirchen as a good quality handmade piece of work. The stick is unstamped. The octagonal stick is made of beautiful red-brown pernambuco woodd. The fine blank ebony frog is nickel mounted with golden-green shimmering pearl slide. The length is 74,6 cm. The felt balance point is well in the middle, plays soft in the lower third and stronger towards the tip. The bow is in perfect condition. Hair, leather and silver winding are new. Produces a clear rounded tone.
