corilon violins

German Saxon violin of quality, perfect sound (sold)

This extraordinary beautiful violin was created around 1900 by an unknown maker in Saxony. With carefully selected tonewoods the instrument´s well-developed sound is remarkably open and carrying, deep and rich in overtones – a perfectly designed violin for advanced orchestral use. The instrument is presenting an interesting combination of the later added boxwood pegs, tailpiece and chinrest, the ebony of the fingerboard and the fine to medium grained spruce of the top. Undamaged and perfectly preserved, the violin was completely worked over and is in immediate playing condition.
