corilon violins

German violin by C.A. Wunderlich (sold)

This instrument is a good German manufactured instrument made in the workshops of C.A. Wunderlich in Markneukirchen-Siebenbrunn (Vogtland). The violin is a good handmade piece made in the 1950ies, the model after Stradivarius. Its bright warm sound is clear and open in the upper ranges, warm and a bit mellow in the lower ranges. The sound is well balanced and of good strength and perfectly suitable for orchestra players. This inexpensive but good quality instrument went through several students hands but has obviously been well taken care of. It is preserved in good crackfree condition. The violin has been checked by our luthier and is in full playing condition. A good handmade violin that is definitely superior to any new Chinese violin set available in the price range.
