Violin bow from France - lightweight and virtuoso
Charles Nicolas Bazin established the Bazin workshop in Mirecourt in 1869. Always following the principles of Tourte, Bazins workmanship was of high precision and quality. Today bows of the Bazin's and the atelier led by the Bazin grandchildren in the 20th century are highly demanded by musicians worldwide. This lightweight (56g) violin bow was probably made in the Bazin atelier and is the result of many years of experience, excellent craftsmanship and well selected materials. The round stick features excellent high tension, gruppy reaction and elastic stiffness. The finished frog is nickel mounted and decorated with a nacre eye and pearl slide. The balance-point is in the upper half and is measured at 26 cm. The sound is bright and sweet.
Special price, the violin bow has been re-bent in the upper third and has a small deformation. Good playability.
