corilon violins

3/4 - sized German violin bow, Knopf school

This exceptionally beautiful and rare piece inspires by its noble appearance and its superb state of preservation. It was skillfully handmade in Markneukirchen in the early 20th century, presumably originating from the environment/Knopf school. Only premium materials like pernambuco wood and silver were selected for this perfectly handcrafted 3/4 sized violin bow. The strong round stick is planed immaculate and shines in deep red tones. The ebony frog is sterling silver mounted and adorned with a highly interesting Parisian eye. One side shimmers in pure white, the other side glistens in mystic deep sea green. The pearl slide is silver framed, while the eye features no frame at all. The short bow produces a bright, clear and brilliant sound, its sensed balance-point is tending towards the head.
