1/4 - rare French cello bow, school of Bazin <i>(J.F. Raffin)</i>

This extremely rare 1/4 cello bow is a French Mirecourt piece of work of the Bazin school made around 1920. The round stick is made of pretty dark brown wood, the black frog is made of ebony. It is adorned with the typical pearly eye and slide. The bow has an overall length of 60,5 cm and produces a bright and powerful sound. The balance-point is at 22,7 cm from the frog end. Small sized 1/4 cello bows extremely rare, French small cello bows are practically not available to the market. This rare cello bow is perfectly suitable as an extraordinary present for a young talent. Comes with a certificate by Jean-François Raffin, Paris.
