Attractive old German violin after Amati, approx. 1920
This well-made replica of a broad Amati violin model has an exceptionally good sound at the price (listen to the sound sample!) - the violin originates from Markneukirchen in Saxony, where it was handmade around 1920. The high level Markneukirchen workmanship becomes obvious in the precisely worked out archings and the accurately cut, delicate soundholes. With its beautifully transparent golden-brown varnish the violin appears classy and sophisticated. Few traces of use that we touched up indicate, that this instrument has a rich musical biography and has been well taken care of. The instrument has been meticulously worked over in our atelier and is offered crackfree in very good condition, ready to play. It is easy and convenient to play, has a notably easy response and a highly recommended, well-balanced, warm, mature, clear and sweet, powerful sound - a highly recommended instrument for demanding and adult players.
