corilon violins

Excellent violin by C.A. Wunderlich, oil varnished

A real eyecatcher, the dark bordeaux-red colored oil varnish of this elegant Guarneri model has darkened over time, with its gently craquelled surface attracting the eye. The regular flames of the medium arched one-piece maple back are especially attractive. Neatly carved soundholes in the characteristic style of Giuseppe Guarneri and the precisely cut scroll aver the quality standard of this early 20th century instrument. As a high quality instrument from the Vogtland region, made by C. A. Wunderlich in Markneukirchen-Siebenbrunn, the violin bears the original makers label besides a Guarnerius label indicating the model. The instrument is in excellent crackfree condition and ready to play. The violin features a very strong and dominant sound; bright, powerful and rich in overtones. It is suitable for orchestral use and recommended for advanced, demanding players.
