An antique Amati replica full of character (sold)

This outstanding replica of an Amati is true to its source down to the most minute detail, a meticulously thoughtful piece with a powerful voice crafted by an experienced violin maker in Saxony. Apparently this unknown master wanted to demonstrate that his home was rightfully known as “German Cremona” – and there can be no doubt that he proved his point successfully. The well-executed antique touches made to the reddish gold-brown varnish create the perfect, elegant aesthetic of a historic instrument, and its outstanding sound qualities and playing characteristics will win you over as well. Its sound is full of character, strong and powerful, mature and clear, yet liquid and with a great lingering resonance. This highly responsive “Saxonian-Cremonese” violin is an exceptional work in its price sector, and we warmly recommend it!
