corilon violins

Good German violin with mature sound

This violin, built in the 1940s, is the work of a skilled, but unknown luthier, who produced an instrument with an exceptionally good and mature sound, full of character and resonance, well-balanced across the strings. The violin has no label and even its further features do not reveal much about its provenance; but without any doubt the instrument is a work of good craftsmanship, following Stradivari patterns. With its dark red-brown varnish over a golden yellow ground, showing only a few traces of use, the instrument is of a very attractive appearance. It has been worked over meticulously by our luthier and is offerend in crackfree and undamaged condition, ready to play!
