Markneukirchen violin bow with a powerful sound
This outstanding German student bow came from Markneukirchen in the 1950s; its bright, powerful, large and radiant sound gives it excellent qualities that make it well suited to demanding playing. Its round stick of dark red-brown pernambuco is of good stiffness, although its good material properties and first-rate craftsmanship mean that this bow plays still very elastic. Its balance point is at 26.3 cm, while the weight feels well balanced and centred. The bow measures 74.1 cm in length, is mounted with German silver and has an ebony frog with pearl eye.
