Old, handmade Mittenwald orchestral violin, 1960's

This good, recommendable Mittenwald violin was built in the mid 20th century and is a good example of quality handcraftsmanship with a strong, balanced sound, warm, clear and rich in overtones. It was built after Stradivari patterns and is preserved exceptionally well, especially the beautiful orange-brown varnish. The top of the instrument was made from medium grained spruce, the two-piece back is from flamed maple. It is an undamaged and strong sounding, good quality handmade instrument from the traditional center of violin making in Bavaria.
