Antique German Saxon violin with a bright, clear tone
This antique German violin was built approx. 1930 in Markneukirchen, Saxony, a solid handmade instrument with a bright, brilliant sound of very good power and strength. The flat Stradivarius model features narrow, elegant soundholes and and fine purfling that are cut very close to the edges, all of them examples of good, rountined craftsmanship. The elegant model and the quality tonewoods express the individual character of the instrument with its top of medium grained spruce and the two piece back of mildly flamed maple, covered by a transparent antiqued light-brown varnish on a golden-yellow ground. The violin is marked by its long history, but is preserved crackfree - this undamaged instrument has been worked over by our luthiers and is offered ready to play. The sound of this antique violin is powerful, brilliant and rich in overtones. Very much recommended at the price.
