Violino vecchio di Markneukirchen, c1920

Old, 1920's Saxon violin, Markneukirchen, bright tones

This perfectly preserved German Markneukirchen violin was built approx. 1920 by an unknown workshop in Markneukirchen. It was crafted with extraordinary success as a beautiful copy of Antonio Stradivari, the famous Italian master of the Baroque period. Italian style determines the solid appearance of the model, that is matched by the nice, small upright scroll. Top and back were carefully crafted, with subtle flutings. The tastefully applied antique touches demonstrate the makers experience and aesthetic sense. After a professional, high quality reconditioning by our luthiers this quality Markneukirchen violin is perfectly ready to play, with a bright, mature, brilliant voice rich in overtones.
