Violon allemand de Saxonie, 1920 - eclisses
Violino tedesco di Saxonia, c.1920

Old, 1920's Saxony violin, clear, powerful tone

This antique German violin is a perfectly preserved instrument, that was handmade with great care and effort approx. in 1920 in Germany by an workshop in Saxony. The purfling was flawlessly applied near the edges, the small soundholes are cut with precision. The experience and skills of the violin maker are impressively demonstrated by the excellent tonewoods he chose, especially by the strongly flamed maple of the two-piece back. Orange-brown colored varnish with some antique touches determines the beautiful, attractive appearance of the violin with a warm note; even some minor scratches do not harm the beauty of this violin, as they are traces of its long history. The Corilon violin makers thoroughly looked over this good violin and made it ready to play. This German Markneukirchen violin has excellent tonal qualities at the price and features a convincing strong, clear voice full of character, that is radiant, precise and well-balanced across the strings. The projection is instant and immediate. This violin deserves our special recommendation.
