Powerful German silver-mounted violin bow, Klaus Ringer - frog
Archet violon allemand de Markneukichen, monte argent, Klaus Ringer - tete

Powerful older silver-mounted violin bow, Germany, by Klaus Ringer

This older silver mounted violin bow by Klaus Ringer is a very versatile bow; a strong, powerful player that was crafted in the 1990's in Germany. The octagonal stick was made of dark red-brown pernambuco wood and features remarkable strength, yet good agilty and tension. The balance-point is sensed well-centered, slightly inclined towards the tip and measured at 27.5 cm (incl. the adjuster), so the total weight of almost 61.1 g is perfectly distributed. The beautiful, classical quality and straightforward style is determined by the silver mounted ebony frog with a Parisian eye and a three-part silver adjuster. Minor traces of use indicate the good playing properties of the bow, that was a convincing partner for its former musician, featuring a warm, large, precise, powerful sound with great power. Like all bows from us this undamaged Klaus Ringer violin bow was completely worked over and rehaired in our workshop and is offered like all Corilon instruments and bows ready to play.
