This attractive "Maggini violin" was built in the 1880s in Markeukirchen in Saxony, a violin that features a superior sound as well as a highly appealing visual aesthetic. Well chosen tonewoods from the Saxon-Bohemian mountains determine its appearance of the violin: premium medium grained spruce that was used for the top, and maple with wild flaming cut from the slab of which the one piece back and ribs were crafted. Shimmering golden-brown varnish over a golden-yellow ground with expertly made antiqzeings covers the violin with medium arch, that features a delicate scroll and well-cut soundholes made in the style of Maggini. When played, the violin reveals its exceptionally good sound and powerful voice, with a bright, warm and open, mature character, with a somewhat sweet note. We highly recommend this "Maggini violin", that is offered in perfectly preserved, undamaged condition, and was completely worked over by our luthier, who made it ready to play.

Like all our instruments and bows, this includes our trade-in guarantee and an optional certificate of appraisal.
