Red Dot Design Award

Antique stringed instruments showcased in a modern, avant-garde design — our daring new corporate identity departs from the prevailing stereotypes of our trade. In addition to many favourable responses from our customers and business partners, we received a very special honour in December 2010: two of the internationally renowned Red Dot Design awards. The jury of this highly prestigious contest, whose awards are considered a seal of quality for premium design, awarded one prize for our corporate design and another prize for two related postcard motifs from a series of stylish greeting cards that can be sent for free from our website at: E-Card.


MfG Award Shortlist

Our instruments are delivered in packaging and with business letters in the Corilon style, for which we received yet another honour in 2010 in addition to the Red Dot awards for our corporate design and two postcard motifs. The Bundesverband Druck und Medien (bvdm), the German Printing and Media Industries Federation, nominated our new look for the 2010 MfG Award. The high-powered jury named Corilon’s office stationery as one of the 17 best-designed in Germany.


MBPW Nomination - Development Stage

Our enthusiasm for historic stringed instruments and the appreciation we express in the way we select, restore and present them form the core of the business idea for which Corilon violins was honoured in the MBPW. The MBPW was founded by a coalition of businesses, universities and research institutions to support innovative companies during their start-up phase.
