Fine Markneukichen Gold mounted violin bow (appraisal Richard Grünke)

This gold mounted violin bow was crafted approx. 1920 in Markneukirchen, most probably in the renowned workshop of Albin Hums. Its fine and strong octagonal stick was made of fine dark red-brown pernambuco, the ebony frog is gold mounted with a golden ferrule, a golden heelplate, underslide and adjuster. The headplate is made of ivory. After a complete work-over by our luthiers this bow is offered in best, undamaged condition, immediately ready to play. It produces a convincing, huge, warm and dark sound that matches its character perfectly. The price includes an appraisal by Richard Grünke for € 2.800.
