This higly recommended English violin bow was made approx. 1930 / 1940 by a bow maker unknown to us, it is a high quality violinbow crafted after patterns of James Tubbs, the classical English master of bow making. The active and highly elastic round stick is of good strength and made of attractive dark brown pernambuco wood. Fine work shows the head after Tubbs with a silver head plate and ebony frong, which is silver mounted. The measured balance point is at 28.8 cm of 74.6 cm total length, and it is thanks to the silver head plate percieved perfectly centered. This good bow plays actively and produces a bright, clear, radiant tone and is highly recommended.
