Cello bow made in Markneukirchen, 1960's

This good quality cello bow was crafted in the 1960ies in the Saxon center of violin and bow making Markneukirchen. The strong and octagonal stick is made of light brown pernambuco wood. The nickel mounted ebony frog is decorated with a Parisian eye and a mystic mother-of-pearle slide, the typical setup of Markneukirchen bows that features a classical and attractive style. Golden nickel mounts underline the quality appearance of this quality cello bow, that is offered in perfect, undamaged condition, immediately ready to play. The balance-point of this 71.7 cm cello bow is centered, slightly shifted towards the lower half towards the middle, measured at 24.6 cm including the adjuster. This good cello bow produces a strong, clear, powerful sound.
