German-Bohemian violin, patterend after Klotz, approx. 1900
This old, attractively sounding violin of Bohemia is a well preserved piece with a striking tone and appearance, that was built approx. 1900 in the Bohemian-Saxonian "Musikwinkel". The unknown luthier selected a model referring to the historical Klotz model. The small, elegantly designed scroll, the accentuated edges and the two-piece back of interesting maple wood demonstrate the careful work of an experienced hand. The luminous golden-brown varnish with antiqueings completes the antique appearance of this violin, that is preserved crackfree in very good condition and has been - like all stringed instruments in the Corilon violins online catalogue - completely worked over by our expert luthiers, now offered ready to play. Her warm, large, dark and clear sound is yet rich in volume and overtones - a voice of good strength suitable for advanced and good orchestra players.
