German violin after Da Salo, approx. 1920

This old violin is a well crafted example of the popular Da Salo violin model, that was built approx. 1920 in an unknown workshop in Saxony. The medium grained spruce of the top and the deeply flamed maple of the two-piece back are quality tonewoods, that are covered by transparent orange-brown varnish. The flat archings are the clear work of an experienced violin maker, who created an affordable instrument with very good tonal qualities that is well-preserved and features a strong, clear sound. This violin is undamaged and was worked over carefully by our expert luthiers. We offer it like all Corilon instruments in immediate playing condition, with a new ebony setup and recommend it for its powerful, warm, that is rich in overtones, strong and resonant especially in the upper ranges.
