The English county of North Yorkshire was the birthplace of this interesting English viola for sale, a young somewhat bulky instrument with a hand-written and dated original label by Alan McDougall. The broad, spirited model is reminiscent of the aesthetic features of Italian instruments, as is the purfling, which was executed with a carefree confidence. And like Italian instruments, this viola is also compelling thanks to its excellent acoustic characteristics and playing properties. With its delicate neck, this large instrument is also suitable for musicians with smaller hands, and it is pleasantly easy to play. Our luthiers have thoroughly set up this young viola and made it ready to play. We recommend it due to its resonant, clear and precise sound with a slightly authoritative voice.
