3/4 - warm, bright tones: a French 3/4 violin

This French 3/4 violin with a recommendable sound was made in the traditional French violin making village Mirecourt around 1910. The violin is labelled with a "modèle d'après Antonius Stradivarius" label indicating the model (model after Antonius Stradivarius). Quality tone woods are well selected: the top is made of medium grained spruce, the most attractive one piece back of wonderful mildly flamed maple. The luminous varnish is of a shiny and intense orange-brown color over a golden yellow ground, in good condition with one retouched spot on top. This French 3/4 violin with a recommendable sound has been professionally set up in our atelier for lutherie and is offered in perfect condition. Her sound is wearm and bright, of good strength and with beautiful resonance in the higher ranges.
