Modern Italian violin, Piero Virdis, Pattada 2002 (certificate Piero Virdis)
This modern Italian violin by Piero Virdis was made in Pattada in 2002, and it is a beautiful example of modern Cremonese violin making tradition around the turn of the century. The two piece top is made of fine quality regular grained spruce, the two piece back of attractive. deeply flamed maple, covered by a rich oil varnish of a luminous orange-brown color. The fine purfling and the elegant scroll is carved with the utmost precision down to the finest detail, creating a magnificent tribute to its maker's skill. This Piero Virdis violin has been well played, it is offered in perfect undamaged condition - meticulously worked over and tonally optimized by our experienced luthiers and is perfectly suitable for demanding players, who attach great importance to the musical features of their instrument. The warm, radiant, Italian sound is of excellent power and strength. A certificate of authenticity by Piero Virdis is included in the price and further confirms the Italian provenance.
