Attractive antique French 3/4 Mansuy violin
This attractiveantique French 3/4 violin was made in Mirecourt around 1930. The "Mansuy" label was used by several Mirecourt workshops at the time. The two piece top is made of regular, medium grained spruce. The two piece back is very mildly flamed. The transparent yet intensely colored varnish is of a transparent golden-brown color and preserved in excellent condition. This beautiful 3/4 Mansuy violin came back as a trade-in from a very happy customer, it has been well kept and is undamaged, worked over and in perfect playing condition. Her bright, warm sound is clear and with a sweetish character.
