3/4 - attractive Bohemian 3/4 violin

This old Bohemian 3/4 violin is a very attractive instrument that is the product of quality handcraftsmanship dating back to approximately 1940. Proof of this excellent work is the carefully carved and well executed scroll. The unknown violin maker chose premium tone woods: an evenly-patterned, moderately-grained spruce top and gently flamed maple back which he varnished in a bright golden brown. The coat is thin and finely applied, as is typical in Bohemian violin making. This is a perfectly maintained, undamaged old violin without cracks, and it has the traces of use and playing that are common for an instrument of its age, along with a scratch under the tailpiece. Like all of our violins, this was also carefully reviewed by our luthier and is ready to play and fully articulate its warm sound full of character.
