3/4 - warm and resonant sounding French 3/4 violin
This old French violin was made around 1920 in Mirecourt. It is a very beautiful instrument which is worthy of being played at competitions by exceptional young talents; it provides the best possible groundwork for their musical development. This rare beauty's transparent varnish shows traces from playing which should not be unexpected for a good 3/4 violin of its age, its glossy spirit-oil varnish is a warm, dark orange-brown and has developed some patina that is very flattering to a violin of its age. Patterned after a Ceruti model, it features quality tonewoods and craftsmanship that has always been uncommon among smaller instruments and can hardly be found nowadays. In its very good, crack-free condition, it is ready to play immediately and will delight you with its warm, strong, full, resonant sound that is bright and open in the upper ranges.
