An old German Hamburg violin made by Albert Paul König. The old violin was made in 1906 in Hamburg-Altona. The violin bears the original dated label as well as a brandstamp at the bottom rib. The instrument is a beautiful piece of work after Guarnerius as indicated by a second label. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of narrow flamed maple. The archings are of medium height. It is set up with a new bridge and soundpost and in full playing condition. The sound is warm and dark, round, full with good volume and an easy projection.
