Antique Markneukirchen violin, August Clemens Glier

This beautiful antique violin with a bright and warm sound was made more than 100 years ago in Markneukirchen, probably in the renowned workshops of August Clemens Glier. A Stradivarius label indicates the violin as a very well-designed instrument in the Cremona tradition. The elegant, well-crafted scroll reflects excellent artisanry. Small, gentle soundholes and subtle antiqueings on the top and the mildly flamed maple back express the special character of this antique Markneukirchen violin, which is with one minor repair to the outer wing of the right soundhole offered in perfect condition, our luthiers made it ready to play. The bright, ringing sound with a warm, matured character.
