Modern German master violin bow. By Roderich Paesold - excellent

This older German violin bow was handcrafted in the 1970's in the long-established Roderich Paesold workshops, that were founded in 1848. The light-brown colored stick is made of pernambuco wood and bears the well-known "Roderich Paesold" stamp over the frog that was used for premium bows only. A nice and tense piece with both a powerful stick, elasticity and balance that feels notably lightweight in the hand and which is strong yet somewhat forgiving at play. The nickel mounted ebony frog is decorated with a Parisian eye and a white-green-rose shimmering mother of pearl slide. The total length of the bow is 74.2 cm, total weight 64.0 g, with a measured balance point at 25.9 cm that is sensed central, slightly inclined towards the lower half of the stick and offering best playing qualities. This extraordanry quality Roderich Paesold violin bow is offered ready to play and produces a warm, strong, bright sound.
