3/4 - antique French violin after J.B. Vuillaume

This French violin after J.B. Vuillaume was made in the traditional violin making village Mirecourt. It bears the typical model label that has been continuously used by thelarge French makers, among them the Laberte ateliers where this violins most likely originates from. The top is made of wide to medium grained spruce, the two piece back of mildly flamed maple. The intensely colored red-orange varnish is slightly patinated with only minor signs of use. This undamaged violin has been carefully worked over in our atelier and is offered ready to play. It features a warm, resonant, well balanced sound with a dark, mellow character.
