H.R. Pfretzschner violin bow. Tense, active, strong

This violin bow by H.R. Pfretzschner was made around 1940 in Markneukirchen as a fine qualiy handmade piece of work. The bow bears the original H.R.Pfretzschner stamp on shaft and as a coat of arms on the frog. The fine octagonal stick is strong and active and features high tension and reactivity. The stick is made of beautiful brown pernambuco wood. The ebony frog is silver mounted with a Parisian eye and a green-rose shimmering pearl slide. The total length 74.2 cm. This German H. R. Pfretzschner bow is especially well balanced and has its balance point well centered, and is therefore very comfortable to play. Without any cracks or damage, this strong, active bow is offered in perfect condition, with new hair, leather and silver winding.
