Old Markneukirchen violin with a warm sound, 1930's

This instrument is an exceptionally attractive antique German violin made in the violin making town Markneukirchen in the 1930's. The model is after Stradivarius with flat archings and nicely rounded edges. The transparent varnish is highly patinated, it is of a golden-brown color showing signs from playing. This good sounding Markneukirchen violin is undamaged, crackfree and despite some varnish flaws offered in perfect condition. The violin has been worked over in our atelier and is set up with new pegs, bridge, soundpost and strings, now ready to unfold a warm, bright, matured sound full of character.
