Probably English violin bow, silver mounted, Hill model
This beautiful 1940's violin bow is a good quality piece of work that was probably made in England on the model of Hill. The soft round, unstamped stick shows countertension at play, so it plays fluidly and can take medium pressure at play. It is made of beautifully structured red-brown pernambuco wood. The ebony frog is silver mounted and equipped with a onbe-part capsule silver adjuster. The length is 73.9 cm. The felt balance point of this useful violin bow is well in the middle. The bow has been maintained in perfect condition and is offered - like all violin bows from Corilon violins - with new hair and ready to play. It produces a bright, mellow, sweet tone and complements well brilliant and sharp sounding instruments.
