The instrument is a good quality old German-made fullsize violin made by Theodor Stark. The violin was handmade in the 1940ies the traditional violin making center Markneukirchen in Saxony. The old violin is very well preserved and in excellent undamaged condition. The violins strong sound is bright and open, warm, clear and well-defined. The tonal character is mature, the tone with an especially beautiful long lasting resonance. The tonewoods are of very good quality and selection. The top is made of regular wide grained spruce, the two piece back of mildly flamed maple. The varnish is a shiny spirit varnish of a gorgeous warm orange brown color over a golden yellow ground. The instrument has been checked and set up by our violin maker with care and is therefore in finest playing condition. Special recommendation!
