Fine 19th century Klingenthal master violin - warm, sweet, aged tone

This ancient master violin featuring a wonderfully resonant, warm, sweet and aged tone was built in Klingenthal early in the 19th century around 1820 by an unknown master following the predominant Hopf model of the time. A gorgeous piece of history with beautiful flat archings, traditionally made in the Klingenthal style of the late 18th and beginning 19th century. The purfling and the meticulously shaped archings and flutings bear witness to the detailed precision of the work. The violin is in very good and almost undamaged condition, with only a few traces of use and some minor repairs at the saddle. Our luthiers worked over this violin and have made this violin ready to play. It has outstanding acoustic properties which honour the solid reputation of historic Klingenthal violins: its warm, sweet voice is colorful and resonant, deep and warm in character. Listen to the sound sample.
