3/4 - Excellent French 3/4 violin of Mirecourt

Mirecourt is a small, lovely town situated in the Lorraine region. It has been the most renowned centre for violin making in France since the 17th Century. Today Mirecourt is the domicile of the "Ecole Nationale de Lutherie", the national school of violin making. The instruments manufactured by Mirecourt luthiers are of high quality and experienced craftsmanship. Just like this little piece of art, that was made in Mirecourt at the beginning of the 20th Century. The 3/4 violin, made on the model of Stradivarius, is of exceptional quality and was preserved in perfect condition. Subtle details like the precisely carved scroll are signs for the luthiers pursuit of perfection. The elegant and attractive appearance of the violin is only exceeded by its tonal qualities: Bright and warm, strong, voluminous and well defined. A fine antique instrument of superb quality for discerning young talents, that was worked over thoroughly in our atelier and is offered ready to play.
