An ideal player's bow from the hands of the Markneukirchen master bow maker Franz Winkler. As usual for Winkler's violin bows, this item is extraordinary handy, easy and agile to play. The soft round pernambuco wood stick is elastic without feeling spongily. The ebony frog is sterling silver mounted and ornated with Parisian eye and nacre slide. The slide is shimmering in colorful violet tones which is rather unconventional, most slides are cream white. The bow's head is elegantly shaped with a long "nose". Winklers original stamp is imprinted on the shaft above the frog. The violin bow has a total length of 74,5 cm and weights only approximately 60 g. Its felt balance-point is centered, tending slightly towards the head. The measured balance-point is situated at 25,0 cm from the frog end. Winklers bow produces a mellow, dark and resonant sound.
